Stan Collymore says Liverpool should be targeting moves for Wolves’ attacking duo Raul Jimenez and Adama Traore when the transfer window re-opens.
The Reds have long enjoyed the fantastic form of their front three Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.
Indeed, Salah’s brace against Brighton on Wednesday took the combined goal tally from the trio to 250.
However, Liverpool lack similar potency behind those three, with Divock Origi and Xherdan Shaqiri their only options.
What’s more, Origi earned a new contract last summer following his Champions League heroics. That decision, according to Michael Owen, contributed to Liverpool avoiding a move for Timo Werner.
Nevertheless, Collymore says Liverpool should revisit their decision to skip past an attacking signing by landing Jimenez and Traore.
“Liverpool should have two Wolves players on their shopping lists this summer – Raul Jimenez and Adama Traore,” he wrote in the Daily Mirror.
“Traore is the obvious one but Jimenez has settled into the Premier League like a duck to water.
