It may not have counted in the win-loss column, but the team’s preseason loss to the Kansas City Chiefs was highlighted by the lackluster showing from the first-team offense last Friday.

There was even more emphasis on quarterback Kyler Murray’s play. In his first preseason action since 2019, Murray completed just one of his four passes for two yards and added eight more on the ground.

But while some may believe Murray needs another tune-up in the team’s preseason finale against the New Orleans Saints, head coach Kliff Kingsbury appears to not be one of them.

Continuing to keep his cards close to the vest, the head coach didn’t go as far as to say Murray would or would not suit up for Saturday’s exhibition following Tuesday’s practice.
