As soon as the Golden State Warriors won the NBA Championship in 2017, it’s was pretty well known that many of the players would forego a celebratory trip to the White House because of who was in office. Stephen Curry was the most vocal, which made Donald Trump call him out personally and dis-invite the entire team as a result. “Going to the White House is considered a great honor for a championship team,” Trump tweeted. “Stephen Curry is hesitating, therefore invitation is withdrawn!” The Warriors actually had something better in mind than visiting the President at the White House. The team is planning to go to the National Museum of African-American History and Culture during their time in Washington, D.C.
