Kirk Cousins has been here before, three times in fact. On Sunday, the Redskins quarterback will play in what might be his last game wearing the home colors at FedEx Field. As you may have heard, his contract is up at the end of the year and his future is very much up in the air. “I’ve had multiple years here where it was the final year of my contract, so I guess those possibilities have come up before,” he said. “I guess now that it’s been the third go around of that, you just kind of go out and play and let the chips fall where they may.” Actually, this will be the fourth time that Cousins has played a potential final home game. He had two of them in 2015, the year his original contract with the team ran out. In Week 15 they beat the Bills to move to 7-7. They had to win in Philadelphia the next week to win the division and get into the playoffs. They took care of business and earned the right to host the Packers in the wild-card round of the playoffs. They were one and done and that game could have been Cousins’ last home game at FedEx.
