In a video interview with Sport Bild, Kingsley Coman dismissed out of hand speculation that he might view the seemingly imminent arrival of Leroy Sané from Manchester City as a threat to his own status at Bayern Munich.

Coman said, “When I came to FC Bayern, we had Franck Ribéry, Arjen Robben, Douglas Costa, and me. And I was still a young player with the legends Ribéry and Robben in front of me! So you can see that it’s not a problem for me.”

Coman emphasized the importance of the signing for the team: “It’s better for the team if there are many players on this level. If Sané came, that wouldn’t be a problem! Unless the club tells me that they don’t need me anymore.” Coman added, “But I think the club knows what it has in me. The situation with Leroy Sané has nothing to do with my own future.”
