The Los Angeles Kings have agreed to terms on a new two-year contract with goaltender Martin Jones Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today. Jones 23 appeared in 56 games for the American Hockey League’s Manchester Monarchs last season recording a 27-25-4 record with a 2.53 goals-against average .919 save percentage and five shutouts. His AHL rankings were the following: fourth in wins tied for sixth in shutouts second in minutes and second in saves. The 6-4 189-pound native of North Vancouver British Columbia has played the last three season with Manchester accumulating a 68-54-7 record in 136 appearances. Before turning pro Jones played four years of junior hockey with the Western Hockey League’s Calgary Hitmen.
