Timberwolves forward Kevin Love had his right hand examined Wednesday, March 13, in New York by Dr. Michelle Carlson, who determined that the hand is healing properly and informed Love that he can continue to increase his conditioning program, the Wolves said in a statement. Love, however, was not cleared to begin full-contact practices with the team. He will be re-evaluated in two to three weeks. Carlson performed surgery on Love's right hand on Jan. 15 at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York to repair the third and fourth metacarpal bones, which he re-fractured Jan. 3 in a game in Denver. Love originally broke those bones on Oct. 17 while doing knuckle push-ups at his home.
