Golden State Warriors swingman Kelly Oubre Jr. is currently going through a slow start to his first campaign with his new team this season. Despite his evident struggles from the field, head coach Steve Kerr remains confident in Oubre’s capabilities and will continue to entrust him a starting role moving forward, per The Athletic‘s Anthony Slater.

Oubre has managed to land a starting spot with the team, especially since Klay Thompson went down with a season-ending Achilles injury during the offseason. As a regular starter for the Warriors, Oubre has been showing his versatility and athleticism on the defensive side but still lacks the momentum that he needs to consistently produce on offense. He failed to find the end of his struggles as he came out with another lackluster performance in their most recent tilt against the Los Angeles Clippers. Oubre only recorded six points on 2/7 shooting from the field along with five rebounds in 21 minutes.
