The Stars had an optional skate on Wednesday, but all three goalies skated. Kari Lehtonen declared himself ready to return from the groin injury that has kept him out for five games. He said he could have played if he had to in Columbus Tuesday, but that he didn’t feel 100 percent right. “It feels good,” he said Wednesday. “Yesterday came a little too fast for me. Today, it felt great and ready to go.” Lehtonen said this injury is not in the same groin as it was last season when he missed 12 games, and he said this injury is not as severe. “I had a tear last year. That healed, and it still had a knot in it. It wasn’t as flexible as I wanted,” he said. “This is a tweak. When it gets better, it’s better and that’s it.” Lehtonen is 7-2-1 on the season. His 2.12 GAA ranks 12th in the league, and his .934 save percentage ranks fifth.. Lehtonen said he feels good about his game, but he also wants to get back to the reaction of simply playing.
