The Kansas City Chiefs are expected to release veteran safety Ron Parker, per a report from Terez Paylor of the Kansas City Star. The report did not specify a date or time of release but said it was expected to happen this offseason. The move would be the fourth notable departure on defense for the Chiefs this offseason, who along with trading cornerback Marcus Peters to the Los Angeles Rams also released cornerback Darrelle Revis earlier this month and elected to let linebacker Derrick Johnson reach free agency once the league year begins on March 14. Parker's release would free up $4.9 million in cap space. Parker, 30, has been with the Chiefs for the past five seasons.
