Chelsea forward Kai Havertz has insisted it doesn’t matter what position he plays in as long as he scores goals, pushing back against critics pointing out he still hasn’t cemented himself a role.

Already this season, Havertz has operated as both a centre forward and attacking midfielder. That was also the case across his first two years at the club, while the German has even been utilised on either flank at various time since moving to Chelsea.

Havertz, who famously netted Chelsea’s winner in the 2021 UEFA Champions League final, scored his third goal of the season in this week’s crucial victory over Red Bull Salzburg.
