Colin Kaepernick took the whole bare arms thing to an entirely different level. The 49ers had to burn a timeout before the first play of the second half because Kaepernick forgot to put on the wristband with the codes to the 49ers' offensive plays. That was about the only thing Kaepernick did wrong Sunday in the 49ers' 23-20 victory over the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field in an NFC wild-card round playoff game. "He's Kaepernick tough," 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh said. "That was pretty awesome." Kaepernick completed 16 of 30 passes for 227 yards. He rushed for a game-high 98 yards on seven attempts. And he used his arm and legs to engineer a remarkably clutch 14-play, 65-yard drive that ended with Phil Dawson's game-winning 33-yard field goal as time expired. The drive began after Green Bay's Mason Crosby kicked a field goal to tie the game with 5:06 remaining. The 49ers put together a game-winning drive to ensure that the Packers would not get another opportunity for Aaron Rodgers to have the final word. "We got a lot of tough guys and they generate a lot of toughness, and clutch performances," Harbaugh said. Kaepernick hooked up with Michael Crabtree for a 17-yard gain on third-and-10 play on the final drive. Then, he scrambled for 11 yards on a third and 8. Running back Frank Gore picked up a blitz to enable Kaepernick to get outside on the run play. Gore also gained a first down with a 3-yard gain on a 3rd and 3. Kaepernick did not appear fazed by the 5-degree temperatures with a wind-chill factor from minus-10 to minus-20. He did not wear sleeves or gloves. "I've played in cold-weather games before," Kaepernick said. "I feel it's more mental than anything." When reminded that he wore sleeves and gloves in his cold-weather games at Nevada, Kaepernick said, "Well, at Nevada we didn't have jackets on the sideline, beanies or heaters, so it's a little bit different." The victory sets up a 49ers trip to face the Carolina Panthers in the divisional round. The Panthers beat the 49ers 10-9 on Nov. 10. "We owe them," Kaepernick said.
