Ian Rapoport of NFL Media is reporting that the Seahawks and Raiders are expected to work out a trade for RB Marshawn Lynch. However, the deal is contingent on a reworked contract. Rapoport notes that a retired player can be traded even though he has yet to be reinstated by the NFL. The Seahawks gave Lynch and his agents permission to speak to the Raiders about a reworked contract. If they can reach an agreement on a new deal, then trade talks can begin from there, according to Rapoport. Pro Football Talk reports that Lynch has yet to submit any paperwork to the NFL. Earlier in the day, Ed Werder of ESPN reported that Lynch has begun the NFL reinstatement process and is still hoping to play for the Raiders or possibly team up with Richard Sherman if he’s traded. Lynch visited with the Raiders a few weeks ago and reportedly told them that he intends to play in 2017.
