The hunt for Juventus’ No. 9 is officially over. We know that because a player who wore the No. 9 at Juventus a few years ago is wearing the No. 9 at Juventus again. That part of the summer mercato, one that was incredibly important to how Andrea Pirlo wants to construct his roster for the 2020-21 season, is a thing that is now done and complete.

But could Juventus be in the market for more in attack?

No, no, no. Not talking about Federico Chiesa here, people.

According to the Corriere Torino on Wednesday (via TuttoJuve and Vecchia Signora), Juventus and Everton are still very much talking about a possible return to Turin for a certain 20-year-old Italian striker by the name of Moise Kean. You know, the guy who we thought was destined to wear the No. 9 before he was sold to Everton and headed to the Premier League last summer. The report goes as far to state that Everton’s manager, our old buddy Carlo Ancelotti, has given the green light to the deal, one where Kean would almost certainly arrive on loan for the 2020-21 season and then there would be some kind of right of redemption to make the deal permanent — be it an option or an obligation — next summer.
