Denver Broncos tight end Julius Thomas is officially inactive for Sunday night's game against the New England Patriots. Thomas' knee is not healthy enough for the Broncos to risk in an important AFC showdown. Thomas suffered a knee injury in last week's win over the Kansas City Chiefs. He tried to make a comeback, getting in limited practice and being listed as questionable, but the Broncos decided to shut him down. Joel Dreesen is expected to get the start in Thomas' place, with Jacob Tamme serving as his backup.
