Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores has declared quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick as the starter going into the 2019 NFL season. Quarterback Josh Rosen is taking an optimistic approach to the decision.

Rosen was admittedly upset with losing the competition under center to Fitzpatrick through training camp and the preseason. According to Hal Habib of The Palm Beach Post, he still feels it is only a matter of time before he takes over:

“When he told me Fitz was going to get the job he told me I made a lot of good progress,” Rosen said. “And I think it’s only time that this team is mine.”

There is certainly plenty of truth to Rosen’s comments.
