When New York Jets quarterback Josh McCown suffered a hand fracture back in Week 14, there was some question as to whether he would return for another season. Despite putting up a stellar campaign with the Jets, McCown is 38 years old and seemed especially emotional at a presser following the injury. While the veteran might indeed decide to call it a career, Jason La Canfora over at ESPN is reporting that he’s expected to forgo retirement and play in 2018. “McCown will make a final decision after meeting with his family, but given what I have heard recently, I’d be very surprised if he does not continue his playing career in 2018,” La Canfora reported. A 14-year NFL vet, McCown turned in a tremendous season for the Jets prior to suffering said hand injury.
