Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho asked Ed Woodward for a’detailed history of atmosphere problems’ at Old Trafford in a bid to understand fans’ frustrations at the Theatre of Dreams. The 55-year-old has been critical of United’s home support since taking over in 2016 and said the Red Devils beat Huddersfield in front of a ‘quiet’ crowd earlier this month. Mourinho believes his side could feed off positive energy from the crowd at home and feels around 76,000 regulars each week should be doing more to roar on their side. According to ESPN, Mourinho sought out executive-vice chairman Woodward to discuss the issue and to air his grievances.
