Three batters into last night's game, Jon Lester [stats] was doing his finest imitation of Zach Stewart. Making his final start in a month in which he appeared to have turned around his season of underachievement, Lester gave up one walk and two hits, including Albert Pujols' two-run double, to put the Red Sox [team stats] in another early hole against the Los Angeles Angels. And although Lester never allowed the game to get out of hand, unlike the overmatched Stewart one night earlier, the ace lefty's early struggles combined with a popgun offense and led to a 5-2 loss that clinched a three-game sweep for the Angels and dropped the Red Sox to a season-high eight games under .500.
