Arguably the best matchup of the 2020 season is upon us as the Baltimore Ravens take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 3 on “Monday Night Football.” True to its prime time billing, this matchup features a whole load of top players on both sides of the ball. Some of which the Ravens would surely love to have on their roster instead of their opponent’s.
Obviously and rightfully, both quarterbacks Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes get the most attention. They’ve been at the top of the NFL’s most important position and at this point, both are the new faces of the league. But their supporting casts on offense and some of the defensive studs are worthy of special attention as well.
As we head into this Week 3 matchup, let’s take a look at the Chiefs players that would look better in purple and black.
DT Chris Jones
Jones has been one of the most dominant interior defensive linemen in the league over the last few seasons. That was never more evident than in 2018 when Jones notched 15.5 sacks and 49 pressures. But even during down years, Jones is ridiculously disruptive, getting nine sacks and 27 pressures last season. He has 1.5 sacks and 11 pressures through just two games this season for that matter.
Though the Ravens revamped their defensive line this offseason, Jones would be a step up from that. Can you imagine a defensive line of Calais Campbell, Brandon Williams, Derek Wolfe, and Jones? That’s the nightmare of a lot of quarterbacks and offensive coordinators for so many reasons.
