The Blue Jackets have sent center Ryan Johansen to minor-league Springfield, a surprising move given Johansen's strong play in the first several games of the season and his team-best faceoff winning percentage. "He started strong, but we think his play has tailed off," Blue Jackets GM Scott Howson said. "He looks like he's struggling offensively. This isn't all about getting points, it's about getting chances and making an impact offensive. I just think he's struggling confidence-wise offensively. We decided to send him down to find his game." Johansen had 0-2-2 and a minus-5 rating in 10 games. He had been the Blue Jackets top faceoff guy (50.8 percent) including an 8 of 9 performance on Tuesday in a 4-2 loss to the Los Angeles Kings.
