Jimmy Howard admits he dreamed this out as a kid. "It's a game we all dreamed out playing when we were kids," said Howard, of the possibility of playing Game 7 in a back-and-forth, unforgettable series. Howard gets his chance Thursday, after the Wings defeated San Jose, 3-1, on Tuesday. Howard was again instrumental, as he's been all series. He made 24 saves, including a big one on Devin Setoguchi with the Wings clinging to a 2-1 lead in the third period, and could be getting better as the series goes on. "We put ourselves into a big hole early in this series, and now it's just one game for it all," Howard said. The way Howard saw it, the recipe for success was similar to the last two Wings victories. The Wings kept at it, wouldn't fade. "We kept fighting, stuck to the game plan, got pucks in deep, and tried to wear out their defense," Howard said. Howard and the Wings have an opportunity to make history with a victory in Game 7.
