Three months after he was acquired from the Columbus Blue Jackets in the Patrik Laine blockbuster, the Winnipeg Jets still haven’t found a consistent spot for forward Pierre-Luc Dubois.

Jets coach Paul Maurice wants that to change now.

At practice on Tuesday at Bell MTS Place, Dubois was back playing centre, with Nikolaj Ehlers and Paul Stastny on his wings.

The 22-year-old Dubois played right wing while captain Blake Wheeler was out of the lineup with a concussion.

“I see him as a centre,” Maurice said. “While I don’t know that we’re in development phase, we need him to continue to get experience at centre ice. I see that as his best position”

Dubois has now played 30 games with the Jets, scoring eight goals and 19 points while skating at centre, left wing and right wing.
