The walls appear to be closing in on Adam Gase, but the embattled New York Jets head coach insisted Tuesday that he is not consumed with worry over his job security.

Speaking to the media in the wake of the Jets’ latest blowout loss — a 36-7 defeat at the hands of the Indianapolis Colts that dropped the squad to 0-3 — Gase made it clear that he is entirely focused on notching a win Thursday night against the similarly winless Denver Broncos.

“I can’t focus on that,” Gase said. “It’s wasted energy for me. It’s not going to help me at all. All I can do is make sure I get our guys in the right headspace to go out there on Thursday and play well.”

The Jets have been nothing close to competitive this season under Gase’s guidance, having been outscored 94-37 in three ugly losses.
