Alex Burmistrov went from getting his most ice time of the season to being a healthy scratch in the span of a few days. The forward’s last seven days have been quite the roller-coaster. He got benched for a few shifts in Winnipeg’s 4-1 loss to Florida last Tuesday, and the TV cameras caught him sharing a chuckle with Nik Antropov during his timeout. The optics were not good. That didn’t seem to bother head coach Claude Noel, though, because Burmistrov played a season-high 19 minutes and 54 seconds in Winnipeg’s 2-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday.
