The Miami Marlins are making it easy for their fans to assist in Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. The team is partnering with Feeding South Florida, a local hunger-relief organization and food bank, to collect supplies at Marlins Park through the end of this homestand, which ends Wednesday with the last of three games against the Washington Nationals. The Marlins plan to send the donations to greater Houston on Thursday. Among the suggested items: non-perishable food, bottled water, blankets, baby food/formula, diapers, toilet paper and dry pet food. The first-base and home-plate entrances are serving as collection points. Additionally, the Marlins are helping raise money through the American Red Cross, which has a table set up near section 17 on the main concourse.
