As Jeremy Lin launched his post-practice 3-pointers circling the arc with Chandler Parsons and Donatas Motiejunas there was a marked lack of lift on his jump shot. The change was not the result of tired legs after four days and six practices of training camp though he said there was plenty of that too. Lin spent much of his offseason tweaking his shot to a more natural shooting motion. That has meant a more relaxed release that incorporates the lift from his legs rather than beginning much of his shooting motion at the top of his jump. “It’s smoother” Lin said. “It was a conscious decision. We worked on it in the offseason to make it more natural. I rely on my shooting coach a lot. This is an evolution of it. You can’t do too much change at one time.
