Milwaukee Brewers right-handed pitcher Jeremy Jeffress will be making the first start of his big league career on Friday evening after totaling 263 relief appearances to begin his major league tenure, the club has formally announced. The Brewers will be taking on the Miami Marlins on Friday evening as Jeffress will be opposing Jose Urena. Milwaukee notably re-acquired Jeffress in a trade with the Texas Rangers back in July. In 53 relief appearances split between Milwaukee and Texas, Jeffress has gone 4-2 with a 4.55 ERA. Over 57.1 innings, the 29-year-old has allowed 60 hits while issuing 30 walks, resulting in an alarming WHIP of 1.570. He has also struck out 45 opposing batters. He has been much better with the Brewers than he was with the Rangers, pitching to the tune of a 2.70 ERA across 14 relief outings.
