Doc Rivers said he was "on" Jeff Green this week about the forward's defense and rebounding. That's not new. "Doc has been on me since the first day I was here," Green said last night after playing one of his best two-way games with the C's (eight points, seven rebounds) in a 99-82 win against Philadelphia. The latter stat, especially, went a long way toward making the bench happy. "It was great," Rivers said. "We got on him a little bit, and I thought he responded. For him, it has to be a repetitive act now. He has to do it in the next game and the game after that. It has to become a habit." Ray of light Ray Allen scored 13 points for the second game in a row but once again was highly efficient with a 5-for-7 performance, including his second big fourth-quarter 3-pointer in as many games.
Jeff Green blossoms
