The Mets have a few more weeks to sort through a tough roster decision.

It had appeared to be imminent, with Jed Lowrie nearing a return from a sprained capsule in his left knee, but the infielder suffered a setback in his rehab assignment, now dealing with a strained hamstring, manager Mickey Callaway said Tuesday.

Lowrie has been sent back to Florida to start rehabbing his latest injury and will be reassessed in “a couple weeks.”
