Ricky Jean-Francois, the four-year veteran defensive lineman who visited the Eagles on Tuesday, left without signing a contract. Jean-Francois, who had arrived in Philadelphia late Monday night and met with Eagles staff members for most of Tuesday, left the NovaCare Complex and boarded a flight for Indianapolis for a meeting with the Colts, per league sources. The 26-year-old, who spent his first four seasons with San Francisco and played sparsely in the Super Bowl, was far apart with the team on dollar figures, a source said, and will continue to test free agency. The source added that it’s unlikely Jean-Francois would come back and sign with the Eagles. Jean-Francois played just eight regular-season games for the Niners and subbed in for only a few snaps of the Super Bowl. After letting him walk, the Eagles are still short on a starting five-technique defensive end to play opposite Fletcher Cox in the team’s 3-4 defensive scheme for run downs.
