Blue Jays third baseman Brett Lawrie did not play Sunday against the Chicago White Sox due to lower back soreness which knocked him out of the Jays-White Sox game Saturday in the sixth inning. The four days of rest, however, have done wonders and Lawrie declared himself fit and ready to go Thursday prior to the team's optional workout. The Jays open a series against the Cleveland Indians on Friday. "It's great, it's back to what it's supposed to feel like," Lawrie said. "Its loosened up a whole bunch and it's just been getting better every day." Over the break, Lawrie didn't have to come in for treatment. "It was more of a time thing, just let it relax," he said. "We treated it enough in Chicago."
