Left-hander Ricky Romero is heading back to Toronto. The club announced on Thursday that starter Josh Johnson has been placed on the disabled list with right triceps inflammation and that Romero would start in his place on Friday against the Seattle Mariners. Romero, who was sent to Single-A Dunedin to start the season pitched one game there, posting four strikeouts and no walks in seven innings of one-run ball. Johnson has made four starts in 2013 posting a 0-1 record with a 6.86 ERA.
