The Philadelphia Eagles celebrated a 34-24 victory Monday night and moved to a league-best 6-1, but they lost Jason Peters in the process. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, an MRI confirmed that the left tackle tore the ACL and MCL in his right knee. Peters left the victory over Washington in an air cast while being carted off the field. Initial reports shared by ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, among other reporters, offered some hope. Rapoport’s update, however, crushes that optimism.
