After missing three consecutive games with a sore left knee, New Orleans Hornets point guard Jarrett Jack returned to the starting lineup Wednesday night against the Chicago Bulls. Jack participated in the morning shootaround, but the team didn't announce Jack would start until just before tipoff. Even with Jack on the floor, the Hornets struggled offensively in a 90-67 loss to the Chicago Bulls at the New Orleans Arena. They didn't make their first shot until nearly four minutes into the game, after Coach Monty Williams had to call a timeout to set up a designated play for center Emeka Okafor. The Hornets trailed 31-17 in the second quarter.
