The Jacksonville Jaguars reportedly don’t want to lose wide receiver Allen Robinson and will use the franchise tag to secure his services if no deal is reached, per ESPN’s Mike DiRocco. “They cannot let Robinson walk because he’s the team’s best downfield playmaker,” DiRocco wrote. “Finding a replacement would be tough; it’s not exactly a banner free-agent class.” Ideally, per DiRocco, the two sides would come to an agreement on a one-year deal that’s loaded with incentives. The reason for this is that Robinson missed almost the entire 2017 season with a torn ACL and wasn’t at his best the year before.
