University officials at San Diego State confirmed Sunday that graduate transfer quarterback Jack Sears is no longer going to attend the school.

Sears was a quarterback at USC who entered the transfer portal in August, when he announced plans to leave the school.

He visited SDSU, among other schools, on several occasions over the next few months.

In mid-December, Sears signed a grant-in-aid with the Aztecs and was included among the 12 players in the program’s 2020 early signing class. He was expected to enroll for the spring semester that began Jan. 21 and participate in spring football.
