Is Quavo shelving music for professional football? No, but the rapper did joke about pursuing a NFL career after he was compared to Houston Texans’ backup QB Taylor Heinicke this week. Following Heinicke’s brief appearance in Monday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, reporter Ari Alexander, of KVOA News 4 Tucson, pointed out the connection between the athlete and the Migos member. It turns out Heinicke broke a Georgia high school record set by a young gun previously known as Quavious Marshall. Quavo set the Gwinnett County (Georgia) high school record in 2009 by completing 29 passes in a game for Berkmar High. Heinicke tied Quavo's record and threw for 34 completions for Collins High in 2010.
