A lot of anger and frustration spilled out after the Flyers' stunning 4-1 loss to the Canadiens. Team captain Claude Giroux, and others, talked candidly about the team’s poor attitude, its overall lack of competitiveness, and the need for change. Danny Briere agreed with Giroux and Kimmo Timonen, who said several times that there are players in the room in need of major attitude adjustments. Is this team just going through the motions right now? “At times, it seems like that,” Briere replied. “It's something that we've talked about. We have to show a little bit more emotion. When you're not winning ... it seems even worse. “I wish I had an easy answer. ... Maybe we gotta want it a little bit more.” Flyers coach Peter Laviolette doesn’t like to respond to what players say to the media unless he personally witnesses their remarks. “I haven’t talked to Claude – don’t be quoting what he said,” Laviolette snapped when a reporter asked him to respond to Giroux's comments.
Is an attitude change in order?
