The Winter Meetings are here, and the Marlins are certain to be busy. With second baseman Dee Gordon and right fielder Giancarlo Stanton gone, the Marlins will shift their focus to listening on other players: most notably outfielders Marcell Ozuna and Christian Yelich, but perhaps others, too. Miami had been holding off on entertaining offers for those two in particular as they tried to move Stanton. Rumors will be aplenty. We’ll update this post as things develop, so check back throughout the day for the latest. At the top of the Day 1 agenda: The Yankees are expected to introduce Giancarlo Stanton at a news conference, scheduled for 2 p.m. Marlins president of baseball operations Michael Hill will also speak to reporters, his first comments sine the Stanton deal, so it’ll be interesting to hear how he explains/sells the trade.
