You can never have enough pitching or catching in spring training. With Indians pitchers and catchers reporting to Goodyear, Ariz. on Sunday, the team announced Tuesday that they have signed catcher Omir Santos to a minor-league deal with an invitation to big-league camp. Santos gives the Indians six catchers for the early part of spring training. Last year Santos spent most of his time at Class AAA Toledo and Class AAA Colorado Springs while playing for Detroit and the Rockies, respectively. The right-handed hitting Santos batted a combined .310 (63-for-203) with 16 doubles, two homers and 30 RBI in 61 games. He appeared in three games with the Tigers.
