Second baseman Ian Kinsler's 12-game hitting streak ended Sunday, but at least Kinsler was able to stay in the lineup, though for a minute that was a little uncertain, too. Kinsler, who was 0-for-4, was hit by a Blake Beavan pitch in the right helmet ear flap in the seventh inning and crumpled to the ground. Kinsler had tried turning away from the fastball, but it caught him squarely in the helmet. Though he laid on the ground for a moment, he experienced no symptoms of a concussion and was able to remain in the game.
