Lonzo Ball may not be taking part in his first ever NBA All-Star Game this weekend, but the rookie point guard and his family appear to have come up with an indirect way to profit off of the event. Last week, Ball announced that he would be hosting an autograph session at the Puente Hills Mall in City of Industry, Calif., during All-Star weekend. In true Big Baller Brand fashion, Lonzo charged $199 a pop for autographs. While that may sound like an insane amount of money for a rookie who has not played all that well, plenty of people showed up. Those who were at the event estimated that around 300 people showed up, which isn’t a bad day when you’re charging $199 to sign your name on an item. While the event was supposed to be for autographs only and nothing else, one fan claimed he was charged $79 after he snapped a photo of Ball using his phone.
