The Padres had 15 hits – their highest total since getting 16 hits 20 games ago on July 25 in Milwaukee. “We woke up a little bit right from the start” said Black. “What (hitting coachesw) Phil (Plantier) and Zo (Alonzo Powell) are pleased with is we’re starting to see hard to contact to left field alonjg with pull power” Forsythe had two hits and two runs scored with a pair of steals. Alexi Amarista who started at shortstop had a single and a double and a RBI. Chris Denorfia also had two hits and a RBI.
