Bo Porter’s Astros still have a month before opening day. But the fiery first-year manager is already delivering memorable quotes. And he raised the bar Thursday morning before the Astros took on the split-squad New York Yankees at Osceola County Stadium. Porter preaches focus and intensity. Asked by a media member the easiest way for an Asto to be moved into the manager’s doghouse, Porter fired back. “It’s real simple. I tell them, ‘There is no gray area. Just don’t play hard,’ ” Porter said. “I would rather somebody walk up and smack me in the face than to be in a competition and don’t play hard.”
