Since Kelvin Sampson took over at Houston, the biggest storyline has been the Cougars refusing to grant releases to TaShawn Thomas and Danuel House, the team's two leading scorers. On Friday, we got something of a resolution -- but it's not over just yet. "Just released with three stipulations," Texas PRO AAU coach Marland Lowe told CBSSports.com on Friday evening. The restrictions, first reported by ESPN.com, are as follows: no schools in the American Athletic Conferences, no schools on Houston's schedule for the next two seasons, and no schools in the state of Texas. Both players are from Texas, and have taken issue with the restriction that they can't choose a school close to home.
