Red Sox starter Clay Buchholz has a home run problem that's caused extensive swelling of the ERA. Buchholz' penchant for giving up the long ball went from bad to abysmal in less than four innings during yesterday's 9-6 loss to the Baltimore Orioles in 17 innings at Fenway Park. Buchholz came out of the game with both a no-decision and a dreadful pitching line. The slim right-hander went 32/3 innings and allowed five earned runs on seven hits with three dingers, four walks and four strikeouts. Buchholz' ERA ballooned to 9.09 while his home run total climbed to 10 in 322/3 innings.
