Cardinals left fielder Matt Holliday left Tuesday's game shortly after taking a first-inning fastball from Brewers starter Randy Wolf above his left kneecap. With one out and a runner at first base, Holliday was unable to get away from a running pitch that bore in on him. The pitch immediately dropped Holliday, who tried to quickly get up only to drop again. After several minutes, Holliday took his base. He became the front end of an inning-ending double play before returning a bit stiff-legged to left field.
