Henrik Lundqvist was fined $5,000 by the NHL on Monday for unsportsmanlike conduct in Sunday's Game 6 against Pittsburgh. Reports earlier on Monday had Lundqvist escaping any kind of discipline for dumping water on Sidney Crosby in a scrum in Game 6 but either the NHL had a change of heart or the reports were off. The optics weren't good for the lack of any discipline considering Bruins forward Shawn Thornton was fined his maximum allowed on Sunday for squirting P.K. Subban with water. If one were subject to a fine and not the other, it wouldn't be a good look for the league considering they were similar (albeit not equal) offenses.
