Mavericks guard Rajon Rondo has been out of the lineup since Jan. 31, when he suffered head and facial injuries in a collision with Richard Jefferson at Orlando. Mavericks owner Mark Cuban offered encouraging words about his expected return in a talk with The Ben and Skin Show on KRLD-FM 105.3 The Fan on Tuesday. "He's coming along great," Cuban said of Rondo. "Because of the time off, his endurance isn't going to be there. But I don't think he's more than a couple of days off." Cuban isn't sure if Rondo will play with a protective mask but the injury isn't serious enough to keep the owner from joking with his key acquisition. "I told him he's become more handsome since his head-on collision," Cuban said. "So maybe he wants to show off. I don't know." The injury has affected Rondo's transition to running the Mavericks' offense, but Cuban has seen enough of his play on the court with the Mavericks to find positives already.
